Hi there. I'm an English Major. No, this doesn't mean that I always use perfect grammar or that I am an expert on MLA style. But it does mean I have a deep appreciation for the power of words. And if you haven't already guessed from the title, my favorite poem comes from an American Poet who wields words like a sword: Emily Dickinson.
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm,
I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.
If there is one thing in my life that I depend on to make it from day to day, its hope. Of course, we all go through rough patches and stormy days, but the hope we can have in the future anchors our souls and gives us the courage to stick with our goals, have an attitude of gratitude, and live our lives to the fullest.
So this blog is my way to share my ideas and celebrate beauty of life. So if you have a minute, stop and stay a while. You might like what you find.
